Lewes Bridge View Junior Football Club was formed in the early 70`s by George Feltham and Paddy Graffin (ex Portsmouth and Cambridge players) One of those very first teams also produced our first professional footballer John Robinson who played for Brighton, Charlton Athletic and also represented his country Wales . More recently another Bridge View player , Paul Ifill of Millwall has played in the 2004 FA Cup final against Manchester United .

Over the years the club has expanded and now runs teams from Under 8 to Under 16 with many players progressing to professional and senior clubs .

The club aim to take their teams abroad on tour at least once during their time with us and this summer different age groups have visited Holland , Spain , Dublin and also to the Robert Pires Stadium in France where the Arsenal midfielder began his career .

The club now has teams playing in the Sussex Sunday , Mid Sussex and Crowborough leagues and many of it`s players are included in the corresponding representative squads .

The Lewes Saturday Soccer School is an affiliate of Lewes Bridge View JFC and coaches children from 6 - 12 years of age at The Paddock , Lewes during the football season .
